Few names in the world of high fidelity audio may claim such an illustrious history as Marantz. In 2003, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary.
One of the charms of an iPod is its pleasing feel in your hand – with all its browsing features at your fingertips. However, this personal handiness is lost when you want to enjoy the music via your high quality HiFi system – but all that is about to change, thanks to a new type of docking station: the IS301.
It lets you keep your iPod, and all of its browsing features, in your hands. It does this via a small extension module (Hand set) that plugs into your iPod and sends audio information via Bluetooth (A2DP) to a receiver unit connected to your HiFi system.
Charging the iPod, enjoying all videos and connecting via USB to iTunes is possible while it is docked in a separate base unit, which can sit on a shelf or be mounted on a wall. On the RX unit you have audio and video outputs and even RS232. It’s all in your own hands.
