However, the standard USB output from computers have a limitation on ultimate quality due to inconsistency in the method of how the audio signal is output. Musical Fidelity have developed a product called V-Link that overcomes the problem by instructing the PC to output the audio data at the same rate it was stored on your computer hard drive.

The V-Link is a 24 BIT 96 kHz asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter and is wholly developed by Musical Fidelity. The technology eliminates Jitter and provides perfect Data transfer. The output signal of the V-Link requires connection to a DAC by using either the Coax or Optical output sockets.
