1980 to 1987 saw PLINIUS launch and refine its trademark Preamplifiers and Power Amplifiers, ranging in power from 50 to 200W. The clarity and depth that these offerings brought to musical reproductive quality quickly established PLINIUS as the pre-eminent brand for amplifiers among audiophiles in New Zealand and throughout the Pacific.

Function should come before frills and the PLINIUS 9100 exemplifies this notion. It is a purpose built design where each material or component choice has been made always aiming for the maximum possible performance.
Power is an important part of this amplifier's character and with a generous 120 Watts per Channel the 9100 should satisfy even the most demanding applications. Spec

9200 Integrated Amplifier. To own a separate control and power amplifier is the dream of many music enthusiasts. Imagine having that level of performance in a single box. The design team responsible for the PLINIUS Odeon have forged and moulded a chassis system of function and beauty from the very best materials and this heritage guarantees performance and long term reliability. Hiato. Exceeding the power output of PLINIUS' previous integrated amplifiers, the Hiato uses design concepts from some of our most prestigious units. The simple user interface of buttons for source selection and the large, tactile volume control knob maintain our design goal of elegant ergonomic simplicity while preserving the PLINIUS listening experience. Spec

The M8 will allow the connection of up to 5 source components including both balanced and single ended connection for CD. A Processor Loop allows full integration with a home theatre system. Balanced output facilities are available for those requiring this standard of connection to a power amplifier. Spec

The new PLINIUS Tautoro Preamplifier takes key points from the classic PLINIUS design to bridge the gap from our premium power amplifiers to our source CD player and phono preamplifier. A comprehensive array of inputs and outputs allows for balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connection to the 5 line inputs, home theatre bypass loop and dual outputs for bi-amping or multi room installations. Spec

The large toroidal transformer will allow the P10 to deliver power levels in excess of 200 watts per channel into 8 Ohms. Difficult speaker loads are driven with ease to the most satisfying levels, while maintaining control and finesse. The ideal partner for the P10 is the PLINIUS M8 Preamplifier. The stable mates will combine to perform at the highest level. The P10 is also highly suited to multiple custom installation use. Spec

The PLINIUS SA-201 will deliver 225 Watts per Channel and in keeping with all Plinius amplifiers is not distressed by difficult to drive speaker systems. We have elected to keep the SA name for this model as it represents a premium quality amplifier that shares a close sonic and value pedigree with our top range amplifiers. Spec

The PLINIUS SA-Reference amplifier embodies all that we have learned in the past few years and while modelled on the Classic SA look it has been given some aesthetic changes to bring it into line with our present styling. Sonically the SA-Reference paints a seamless picture from the most tuneful and accurate bass to a sweet, extended and extremely believable top end. Spec

The PLINIUS Odeon can also be used in a two channel system as a stand alone tri-amplifier delivering power and finesse to the most demanding speaker systems.
This is a highly developed amplifier and will form the nucleus of the best multichannel or two channel audio systems.
