Epic combines elements of two of Chord’s most popular speaker cables; Odyssey and Signature. By taking the shielding system used on Signature and adapting it to work with Odyssey we have been able to produce Epic. Epic utilises the conductor sets that first appeared in Chord Odyssey, along with the silicone outer jacket. Surrounding this is the dual shielding system and this in turn is surrounded with a special PVC jacket to further improve mechanical damping.

Signature speaker cable is the result of several years’ experimentation with shielded speaker cables. Heavyweight, 4mm diameter high purity copper conductors are surrounded with gas foamed polyethylene and a dual layer high frequency effective shield. The two runs of cable are twisted together and held in place with a specially engineered aluminium clamp.
